I still cant get the hang of this blogging! There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day or day's in the week to fit everything in! But hey ho, such is life. So here is another update for you all.
Summer is here and so is Summer Virgin. Our award winning 4.5% summer beer, the first beer the founders Dave and Roland ever brewed is back to quench your thirst on those long hot summer nights. June sees the arrival of Pacific Pale Ale. The recipe was designed by Jim, our newest assistant brewer who joined the company in September 2010. The beer is a 4.7%, light brown beer heavily hopped with hops from the Pacific region. He's hoping it will be a big hit with our regulars and newcomers alike.
Also this month we are doing a one off brew using a recipe from the Essex craft brewers association, the 'Shed Brewers'. Gnome Brew is a 3.8% session bitter and will be available throughout June.
So that's June. Fast approaching Is the Brentwood Beer and music festival. Formally the White Horse festival, which was held at our brewery tap in Coxtie Green, its being moved to a bigger venue due to its popularity and will now be at the Brentwood Centre with 150 real ales and music from the likes of 'From The Jam' and 'The Boomtown Rats'. Once all that is over we have the CAMRA Chelmsford Summer beer festival. Always a good day out, we're all hoping for an award this year. So fingers crossed!
